Upon graduating from the commercial aviation program, the instructors and the CFI are available to discuss employment options. The instructors at B.C. Helicopters have worked commercially in the helicopter industry and have many valuable contacts. They know what the operator is looking for in today’s helicopter industry and they offer valuable advice and techniques into obtaining their first job. We tell all our students that B.C. Helicopters cannot guarantee employment upon completion of training, however, we make it our policy to provide the student with the best information and advice gained from years of experience in helping pilots get their start in this exciting career. There are employer lists available for students however this is privileged information and is only given to the student once they have completed the course. Sancho Gelb will assist in resume building and the dos and don’ts of looking for a job. Helicopter Operators actively recruit students and B.C. Helicopters makes every effort to connect the student with the Operator. Students are encouraged to keep their contact information current with the school so that when an opportunity arises, the school can contact them. Students must have permission from their instructor to use the instructors name as a reference on their resume.
