Course Pre-requisites
Do I need previous education ?
No minimum educational standard is required by the Ministry of Transport, however you must have graduated from high school (or equivalent) or be a mature student (19 years old or older) to qualify for our program.
Medical ?
A class 1 medical is required for the commercial course. The private course requires a class 3 medical. These medicals include a thorough examination by a Transport Canada certified doctor, an Electrocardiogram and an Audiogram. When you contact us, we will provide you with a list of doctors for your area or just click on THIS LINK to find an approved Doctor near you. It is preferable to have the medical completed before your training start date.
Don't hesitate to e-mail or phone us. We can be reached just about any time and look forward to answering you questions.
Recommendation ?
We recommend that you stop by and visit our school. We are sure you will be impressed.
Then go for an introductory flight which lasts on average 1 hour. You will be on the controls within 5 minutes of lift-off and get a great over-view of what a helicopter can do, what you will learn during the course and our training areas. This flight also counts as your first training hour and will be credited towards the course should you train, even at a latter date.
